GIFT CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Gift Card
1.a. The Seovillage Gift Card (“Gift Card”) is issued and provided by SEOVILLAGE SIA, registration number 40203503114, registered address Antonijas Street 16A – 35, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia (“Seovillage”).
1.b. The Gift Card is a prepaid instrument with an assigned individual identification number, manufactured in accordance with a design developed by SEOVILLAGE, and which can be used by SEOVILLAGE to receive services or purchase goods.
1.c. The Gift Card may be purchased by any natural or legal person (“buyer”).
1.d. The Gift Card amount may be selected by the buyer at their discretion.
2. Purchase of Gift Card
2.a. The Gift Card may be purchased both in person at the SEOVILLAGE hotel and in electronic form online on the SEOVILLAGE website by placing an order by contacting SEOVILLAGE by email at [email protected] or by calling +371 2899 9777.
2.b. The buyer has the right to choose one of the following Gift Card receipt options:
- receipt in person at the SEOVILLAGE hotel — personally or to a third party specified in the buyer’s order. During order placement, information about the recipient (name, surname) may be requested. In such case, SEOVILLAGE has the right to require the recipient to present a valid identity document recognized in the Republic of Latvia;
- receipt electronically — the Gift Card is sent to the email address specified in the buyer’s order upon receipt of payment confirmation;
- receipt via parcel locker or courier service provider — to the delivery address specified in the buyer’s order. In such case, the buyer bears all costs associated with delivery of the shipment, including the tariffs applied by the relevant parcel locker or courier service provider. The delivery term depends on the terms and delivery procedure of the relevant service provider.
2.c. Purchase of the Gift Card is payable by bank card or cash, or by advance payment by bank transfer in accordance with an invoice issued by SEOVILLAGE. Another Gift Card may not be used for payment of a Gift Card.
2.d. The price of the Gift Card is equal to the amount (nominal value) of the Gift Card. No additional commission fee is charged to the buyer when purchasing a Gift Card, except in cases where it is applied by the buyer’s payment service provider (e.g., a commission fee for a transfer in accordance with the current price list of the respective financial institution).
3. Usage of the Gift Card
3.a. The Gift Card is activated automatically after payment confirmation is received.
3.b. The Gift Card cannot be topped up.
3.c. The Gift Card can be used by the buyer or any other user – a natural or legal person to whom the buyer has given the Gift Card (“user”).
3.d. The gift card can be used to book any SEOVILLAGE accommodation, pay at the restaurant or for other services provided.
3.e. Using a Gift Card for prepayment of an accommodation reservation is possible only by contacting SEOVILLAGE by email [email protected] or by calling +371 2899 9777. SEOVILLAGE has the right to request the user to provide the Gift Card identification number. SEOVILLAGE has the right to use the Gift Card submitted for prepayment in accordance with the SEOVILLAGE Hospitality Reservation and Internal Rules.
3.f. If the transaction amount exceeds the value of the Gift Card or its balance, the user shall pay the difference in cash, non-cash or by using another Gift Card.
3.g. When making a transaction, the amount of the Gift Card or its balance is reduced by the amount of the transaction. The Gift Card can be used to pay for several transactions until the entire amount of the Gift Card has been used up or the Gift Card’s expiry date has passed.
3.h. The user can independently check the balance of the Gift Card by contacting SEOVILLAGE by e-mail: [email protected] or in person at the SEOVILLAGE hotel.
3.i. Once the Gift Card balance has been fully used, the Gift Card will not be returned to the user.
3.j. A gift card cannot be returned or exchanged for cash and it is not possible to purchase another gift card with a gift card.
4. Gift Card Expiration Date
4.a. The Gift Card can be used within 6 (six) months from the date of receipt of confirmation of payment for the Gift Card.
4.b. After the expiry date of the Gift Card, it loses its validity and cannot be used, regardless of whether the entire nominal value of the Gift Card has been used in full or in part. The unused value of the Gift Card will not be refunded or compensated to the buyer or user in any form.
5. Right to cancel an order and withdraw from the contract
5.a. The provisions of this section apply if the Gift Card is purchased electronically online on the SEOVILLAGE website.
5.b. The buyer has the right to exercise the right of withdrawal and unilaterally withdraw from the contract within the terms and in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the legal acts of the Republic of Latvia, within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of purchase of the Gift Card by notifying SEOVILLAGE thereof by email: [email protected] and completing the withdrawal form issued by SEOVILLAGE.
5.c. If the user has booked accommodation at SEOVILLAGE, the Gift Card is considered to have been used. In this case, the buyer does not have the right to exercise the right of withdrawal and unilaterally withdraw from the contract in accordance with the terms of the distance contract.
6. Other Provisions
6.a. SEOVILLAGE does not pay interest on the Gift Card amount or its balance.
6.b. In the event of loss or theft of the Gift Card, SEOVILLAGE will neither block the Gift Card nor refund the amount of the Gift Card or its balance.
6.c. Claims related to the Gift Card must be submitted by the user no later than 3 (three) months after the expiry date of the Gift Card, addressing them to SEOVILLAGE SIA, legal address Antonijas Street 16A – 35, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia. SEOVILLAGE will review the complaints received within 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt of the complaint and provide the user with a reasoned response.
6.d. SEOVILLAGE has the right to process the data of the buyer, user, and Gift Card recipient (in accordance with clause 2.2 of these Terms and Conditions) to the extent necessary for the fulfillment of these Terms and Conditions and the maintenance and operation of the Gift Card system. When processing personal data, SEOVILLAGE complies with the laws applicable in the Republic of Latvia in the field of personal data protection and processing.
6.e. All disputes arising between SEOVILLAGE and the buyer and/or user shall be resolved through negotiation. If mutual agreement cannot be reached, any dispute, disagreement or claim shall be settled in court in accordance with the procedure established by the applicable laws of the Republic of Latvia.
6.f. SEOVILLAGE reserves the right to unilaterally amend these Terms and Conditions at any time by publishing the amended version on the SEOVILLAGE website.
6.g. By purchasing a Gift Card, the buyer confirms that they have read these Terms and Conditions, undertake to regularly check for changes to these Terms and Conditions, and ensure that users are also familiar with them.
